The Pub boasts an authentic music school, founded in the autumn of 2018 and run by 6 talented teachers. The school has 150 students and 4 fully equipped music rooms.
Thanks to its 4 state-of-the-art rehearsal studios, and a project to open a recording studio, Mira has also become THE place for musical exchanges in the local Arcachon Bay area.

SINGING, PIANO, KIDS MUSICAL AWARENESS, MUSIC THERAPY, SONGWRITING AND MUSIC COMPOSITION
Sophie RAFFIN is a multi-talented artist. She's a graduate of the Bordeaux Conservatory and holds a diploma in Music Therapy
Along with studying classical music, she has also received numerous awards for songwriting and became a member of the SACEM (French performing rights society). She has performed in some of the most prestigious venues as a classical vocalist, including the Théatre de la Madeleine in Paris, the Pin Galant in Mérignac, and in numerous Opera festivals.

yann gillot
GUITAR, BASS, GROUP WORKSHOPS, KIDS MUSICAL AWARENESS, MUSIC COMPOSITION
Experience: Yann Gillot has become something of a local legend. He's the singer/guitarist with the Bass'in Black band, and the resident Monday night musician at Mira, running the weekly StarMira sessions at the pub!
Yann graduated from ther Espace de Formation aux Métiers de la Musique in Tourcoing in 1998. He has been teaching electric guitar, accompaniment guitar and bass for the past 20 years, in all styles and for all levels.
Students can learn the song of their choice by reading music, tablature or playing by ear.

Bruno De hollanda
Guitare, Basse, Chant & Cours de groupe en ateliers
Experience: A professional musician since 1995.
Bruno is a former student of the professional musician's course at the CMCN (MAI school in Nancy, France), starting in February 1994 and graduating in June 1995.
He was a member of several bands, and participated in numerous albums and collaborations.Moved to Bordeaux in 2004 before settling in Arcachon.
Over 1,200 concerts with Génération and DOOZY since 2005.
Bruno taught guitar, bass and vocals for 14 years at the Zicfun music school in La Teste de Buch.
He created the DOOZY band at the end of 2009.
2 albums with DOOZY + support act for Johnny Hallyday and Stars 80.
Bruno is an ambassador for the SANDBERG brand of basses.

Roman Bailly
Drums and introduction to drumming for kids aged 5+
Experience : After studying at several schools in the Arcachon Bay region, and graduating from the CIAM (Bordeaux) professional diploma course, Roman created his own company, the RB Drum School, in 2015.
Over the years he has been involved with numerous bands in the region.
He joined Mira in the autumn of 2018, bringing with him a wealth of experience, a real talent for teaching, and his friendly personnality.
His goal is to ensure that students have a lot of fun while learning, while constantly improving at the same time.
Lessons are tailored to all levels, from beginners to advanced, and are open to all age groups (introduction to drumming for kids aged 5+).
Over the years he has been involved with numerous bands in the region.

Thierry Saintilan
Saxophone
Experience: Thierry started playing music at the age of 8. His first instrument was the accordeon, but he moved on to classical piano, then clarinette (performing in street bands) before finally moving to saxophone, after two years professional training at the IREM (school of contemporary music and jazz).
He has been involved in various groups with a very broad range of styles, including rleading a brass band comprising thirty musicians for over three years, performing all over France and abroad. He has also played with a soul/funk band in Bordeaux, and for two yearsz he collaborated with the UNADEV (National Union for the Blind and Visually Impaired), running their music workshop focussing on jazz/soul improvisation.
He has been involved in various groups with a very broad range of styles, including rleading a brass band comprising thirty musicians for over three years, performing all over France and abroad. He has also played with a soul/funk band in Bordeaux, and for two yearsz he collaborated with the UNADEV (National Union for the Blind and Visually Impaired), running their music workshop focussing on jazz/soul improvisation.
