catalog / Rhea / Rhéa Sansho pepper

Rhéa Sansho pepper

Invigorating and refreshing

Developed by specialists as the perfect accompaniment for seafood dishes, Rhéa is a veritable hymn to the undersea world, with its iodine flavours. A handy tasting tip: its slight bitterness and zesty tones are best enjoyed after a fishing trip, barefoot in the waves, or on a boat.

  • Natural spring water
  • barley malt (with gluten)
  • Cane sugar
  • Hops
  • Yeast
  • Lemon rind
  • Sansho pepper
  • Rhéa is a speciality beer with citrus flavours, making it unique.
  • An extremely pale malt is used, and a small amount of calcium is added (together with ground oyster shells) to alter the character of the water.
  • The lemon rind and Sansho pepper, together with subtly bitter aromas, give this beer a particular freshness in the mouth. A great alternative to the traditional white or rosé wine.
  • Seafood: fish, oysters and shellfish.
  • 4°C
  • COLOUR EBC : 6
  • BITTERNESS EBU : 25-30
  • OPACITY NTU : 20-30

THE PERFECT ALTERNATIVE TO WINE

Rhea is best enjoyed cold, in a wine glass. Its caloric value (2 times less than wine) and its low alcohol content make it an alcoholic drink that responds to the current trend of healthier consumption.

Tasting advice

La Rhéa is ideal with oysters, a seafood platter with various shellfish, crab, or even to accompany lobster or grilled sole, smoked salmon, scallop carpaccio, poached cod loin , a marinated sea bream ceviche… As many marine riches as opportunities to savor the Rhea.

Designed in collaboration with sea professionals for seafood products.

A design with the curiosities of the seabed

Mira trusted the graphic design duo Calicot, who knew how to perfectly transcribe the quality of the Rhéa as well as its universe inspired by the treasures and curiosities of the seabed. Their fine lines, associated with a very worked composition as well as meticulous details give the Rhéa all its singularity.

The Shaman's Chronicles

Emmanuel Martin, oenologist and director of Chantier Naval Dubourdieu, and oyster farmers Joël Dupuch and Marc Druart from La Cabane à Dégustation de l'Huitre Papillon, tell us about it.
